The Town of Emerald Isle believes strongly in transparency and providing access to public records for its citizens, taxpayers, media and the public. In accordance with Chapter 132 of the North Carolina General Statutes, as custodian of public records, the Town is obligated to permit the inspection and examination of public records and provide the requesting party with copies thereof upon payment of a reasonable fee representing the Town’s actual cost.
