- Tim Carraway, of Cauley Pridgen P.A., was unanimously appointed as Interim Town Attorney
- Recognition of Finance Director, Laura Rotchford, for receiving the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 10th year in a row
- Recognition of Officer David Ketchum for 20 years of service to the Town of Emerald Isle
- Presentation of department updates from the Public Works and Parks & Recreation departments
- Approval of the Consent Agenda
- Public Announcements and FY 24-25 Budget Videos were played
- Public Comment and a Public Hearing for Sidewalk Dining UDO were held
- Sidewalk Dining UDO was passed unanimously
- Beach Access Walkways Labor Contract unanimously awarded to Primus Structures, Inc for the demolition and reconstruction of 13 public beach walkways
- Beach Access Walkways Materials bid awarded unanimously to Lowe’s Home Improvement and Sure Step Decking
- Engineering Contract with Summit Engineering for services related to the Lands End Dune Infiltration Project (FEMA 428) approved unanimously
- Employee Birthdays - 8 Hours of PTO for Full-time Employees was unanimously tabled for a later date
- Closed Session Pursuant to NCGS §143-318.11 to discuss pending litigation with an attorney and to discuss the appointment of a new town attorney was held
- The Board of Commissioners reviewed 7 letters of intent for Town Attorney and decided to hold Closed Session interviews for their top 3 preferred attorneys on Monday, July 29, 2024 beginning at 9:00am
