Town of Emerald Isle: Board of Adjustment Hearing

Notice of Special Meeting

The public is hereby notified that the Emerald Isle Board of Adjustment will hold a Special Meeting and Hearing on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the Floyd Messer, Jr Town Hall Board Room, 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, North Carolina.

The purpose of the hearing is to consider a variance request submitted by Bogue Inlet Pier, Inc. to Section 6.6.6(1)(A) and Section 6.6.6(2)(A) of the Emerald Isle Unified Development Ordinance. The property is located at 100 Bogue Inlet Drive. The variance would allow for the replacement of a freestanding sign to exceed the maximum height of 15 feet by 5.5 feet and exceed the maximum square footage of 50 square feet by 83 square feet. The public is hereby informed and asked to attend.

The variance request may be reviewed in the Department of Planning and Inspections at the Emerald Isle Administration Building, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
