Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Emerald Isle Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing during its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Floyd Messer, Jr Town Hall Board Room, 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, North Carolina.  

The purpose of the hearing is to consider amending Article 8 Nonconformities of the Emerald Isle Unified Development Ordinance to add Section 8-5 to allow for the replacement of nonconforming decks.   

The public is hereby informed and invited to be present at the meeting and comment on the proposed text amendment request.  Copies of the proposed amendment can be viewed at www.emeraldisle-nc.org/AgendaCenter or in the office of the Planning Department located in the Emerald Isle Administration Building, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
