TOWN OF EMERALD ISLE
The Town of Emerald Isle Planning Board/Board of Adjustment will hold a quasi-judicial evidentiary hearing on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Board Room located at 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC, as rescheduled from January 23, 2023. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a variance request by Josh Johnson, PE of Stroud Engineering, agent for property owner Betty Moore, to build a 20’x35’ detached garage at 205/207 Cedar Street with a 17.5 ft front setback, which is 12.5ft closer than is allowed in Section 5.1 of the Emerald Isle UDO. The variance request may be reviewed in the Planning and Inspections Department, 7509 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by calling the department at 252-354-3338.
