Donation boxes are at the Emerald Isle Police Department until Friday, February 10, to collect nonperishable food items for Hope Mission of Carteret County. The items will then be collected by Chapel by the Sea on Friday, who will deliver them to Hope Mission in Morehead City.
The following nonperishable items can be taken to the EIPD, at 7500 Emerald Drive:
- Large 24 gallon tea bags
- Canned corn
- Canned sweet peas
- Canned mixed vegetables
- Canned baked beans
- Canned carrots
- Canned potatoes
- Canned mixed fruit or a variety
- Styrofoam to-go trays
