During the Emerald Isle Board of Commissioners meeting on MAY 14th, 2024, the following actions were taken.

• Approval of the Consent Agenda
• Commissioner Brownlow and Planning Bord Member Athan Parker were appointed to the Stormwater Committee. 3 other members will be selected.Parameters were set.
• Beach Music Festival: The Board voted to not fund in FY24-25
• The Board voted to update the EI Fishing Tournament status to non-profit
• The Board voted to use native flowers for the Hwy 58 Beautification Project
• The Board awarded generator contracts
• The Board voted to send letters of support to legislators for a proposed boat channel navigation route
• The FY 2024-25 Budget was presented. A budget workshop was scheduled, and a public hearing was called for June 11.
